Pastor Howard L. Brown was born and raised on the small island of Jamaica. He is one of 6 children born to Enid and Bryon Brown. His passion for ministry started when he was very young. He loved discussing the Bible with anyone who would listen. To prepare for pastoral ministry, Pastor Brown obtained a Master of Arts in Religion from Andrews Theological Seminary, located in Berrien Springs, MI.
During this period that he married his best friend and soulmate, Esther Brown. Together, they have three children: Oreyana, Leyla, and Micah.
Upon completing his degree he pastored the Hanson Place SDA Church in Brooklyn, NY. He laster functioned as adjunct professor with Andrews University and Bible instructor with the Greater Atlanta Adventist Academy. He would then accept the position of principal for the Bethany Christian Academy with the South Central Conference of Churches.
He later served as assistant pastor with the West End Seventh-day Adventist Church in Atlanta Ga. Pastor Brown is currently pursuing a doctorate in organizational leadershipHis guiding principle is found in Philippians 3:8. “Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake, I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ”
